Republican men are far more likely to mistreat women and embrace a toxic masculinity that leads to overly aggressive behavior towards women including sexual assault. Conservative biases in society such as in Hollywood have created a culture where many conservatives think this behavior is acceptable.
In researching our list of sexual assaults committed by conservatives, we a struck by the notion of how many more never became public (or became public much later) due to threats, intimidation, blackmail or financial settlements by Republicans to silence women. In addition, women are more scared to publicly expose bad behavior among conservative men because of their history of blaming women for sexual assaults, discrediting and even smearing accusers and engaging in harassment and intimidation campaigns against them.
